The members of
Simply Reeds met through their studies in Cambridge in the early
1990s and formed the quartet in 1996. Viv, Jon, Graham and
Claire are
all instrumental music teachers in and around Cambridge, Royston
and Saffron Walden.
The vast majority of our arrangements are written by Jon (jazz and show
tunes) and Graham (classical), while bookings and accounts are
handled by Viv and publicity by Claire. We play at many private
events such as weddings and corporate parties but we also bring
our music to the public through recitals in the Cambridgeshire
region. In recent months we have played at the Perse School
Cambridge, Palace House Newmarket, Fordham, Harston, Chatteris, Dry Drayton,
and at many college events within Cambridge University.
